Text Box: Grand Cayman is the largest of the three Cayman Islands, located in the northwest corner of the Caribbean Sea about one hour south of Miami, Florida by jet. The Airline City Code is GCM. The island is served by several airlines including Cayman Airways, American Airlines, Delta, Continental, Northwest, US Airways, Air Canada, British Airways, and various others from Central America. There are direct flights from Miami, Ft.Lauderdale, Tampa, Atlanta, Charlotte, Houston, Newark, Boston, Toronto, London, also Nassau, Kingston, Havana, and other points in Central America.

The island has no rivers or streams because it is flat (60 feet max elevation) and composed of porous limestone rock. The lack of runoff gives the surrounding Caribbean Sea exceptional visibility, often well over 120 ft. The island is surrounded by healthy coral reefs which lie at the top of dramatic walls and drop-offs close to shore, ideal for snorkeling, diving and sport fishing.

The Island Houses wrap around the end of

the Sand Pointe Cove off the North Sound.  Click here for Boating Directions.
